Jupiter Crop by Caitlin Hunter

This is my not-so-cropped Jupiter Crop! 🐓

I fell in love with this colorwork sweater as soon as I saw it, and once I put this winning color combo together I just had to make it happen.

I wanted to make this sweater a bit more wearable with my current wardrobe, so I decided to add not only length, but hip-shaping as well by splitting one feather on each side into two (shown in photo below) just after the small of my waist.

I kind of made the increases up as I went, and am pretty proud of how well it turned out.

The only other modification I made was gauge- My gauge was a touch small, but I liked my fabric, so I knit one size larger than my desired size, and it worked out perfectly!

I knit the Size 5 for a desired Size 4, and had the smallest little nuggets of C1 and C5 left.

So if you want to knit a Jupiter of your own and lengthen it as well- I suggest picking up an extra skein of those colors "just in case".

I am a bit obsessed with Sport-weight sweaters right now, so I figure any leftover yarns might go into a future color work sweater, or I could always put them into a fun color work cowl. 😊
